Dry Bones

Henoch WalkwithGod Scripture is multifacited, like a diamond. God can be talking to Moses, Joshua or Daniel and be talking to you and me at the same time. Scripture can and many times does have more than one meaning. Let god speak to you from His Word in a personal way. don't always be saying that was for Israel or the Corinthians or the disciples. "Every promise in the Book is mine; every chapter, every verse, every line..."

This is God's Word and He can reveal His truths to you by His Holy Spirit. Don't let anyone tell you that your talking "replacement theology". If God has revealed to you the meaning that He wants you to derive from scripture then that is good enough. His Word is new everyday. One day He may speak to you in this way, and another day He will reveal Himself anew. You are right America is as though it is full of dead men walking, but God is saying to us to preach to them and He will quicken them in their spirits so that they may live. If we are faithful, then God is always faithful.

Henoch WalkwithGod Everyone who studies the Bible knows that Ezekial 37 is talking about Israel, but the Bible also says, that the Word is of no private interpretation. You could say 1 & 2 Corinthians was for that church and so on, until there was nothing in the Bible that was written for us today. It is also talking about salvation, regeneration. Paul said that we were all dead in trespasses and sin until Jesus came into our heart and life and forgave us and gave us new life in Him. It also refers to Christ and His Army of Saints that are resurrected from the dead and through God's power they become a mighty Army.

Dan Carlisle : I believe in what you say, but remember Jesus spoke of ten virgins awaiting the Bridegroom (Christ). Five were wise and had there lamps trimmed and full of oil (the Holy Spirit), and five were foolish and did not bother to go to church, pray as they should or read their bibles. When the Bridegroom came they were totally out of oil and ill prepared. "And there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth", because they will be shut out. Jesus said, "Watch and pray that you enter not into temptation". What better way to be ready to meet the Lord than to meet with His people on Sunday morning and worship the Lord and sing His praises and study His word and listen to His word being preached? I think that all Gerald was saying. Not to give up, but pray for an outpouring of His Holy Spirit on His church, so that we can be found a spotless Bride, Holy and not having spot or wrinkle. He is worthy, and He can make us worthy of Him.

This passage is in reference to the nation of Israel, but it also refers to the resurrection of the Saints. God will raise us the believers in Christ up from the grave and change us in the twingling of an eye into glorified beings a vast and formittable army. God's Army of Saints with Jesus christ as our Captain, an undefeatable army to defeat the antichrist and his army. Praise the Lord God Almighty, who sits on His everlasting throne! Righteousness shall prevail and Satan will be defeated oonce and for all, bound in chains for a thousand years and then defeated and thrown into Hell forever.

Dan Carlisle I would still have to agree with him that America is full of people that resemble dry bones. You can twist it any way you want to.

Dan Carlisle I would have to agree with Gerald Scott and his interpretation.

J Hunter Owen You cannot always replace Israel with yourself. These prophecies of Ezechiel are for the fysical House of Israel, not to spiritualize it for christians.

Henoch WalkwithGod what you call "false replacement theology", I call being moved by God

What a great visual, no matter how you interpret the verse. It is everything I always pictured in my mind when I read that scripture.

The Big bang theory is so boring compared to that. God is amazing!

  • 2011-12-02T13:38:40
