Hi Sharon, In 1967-1969, as a Navy nurse, I helped train our young corpsmen, who were headed to Vietnam, where statistically 50% of them would be killed. Why? Because they carried supplies, rather than a riffle and the were especially targeted, because, by killing them, others would also die, who would have been treated by the corpsman. They were such good guys. Only a good guy would volunteer to be a Navy corpsman assigned to a Marine unit. You obviously raised a good man and I thank God, he came back home to you. Hug him today!

Lucy Lee I have never had a song touch me like this song has. I guess it is because I know what setting home and waiting to hear if they are still alive is all about and MIA for six months is unreal.

As we are also so proud of our two sons one served in the Navy for 8 years and a son that served in the Air Force for 22 years we are proud, also to all the ones who have fallen Loved ones and to all the ones who came home, Thank you for serving Our Country.

I have seen this several times now, and each time, my heart and tears fall. Being a Cold War Vet, I am one of the lucky ones that did not have to see war. But gladly would if I had to. Thank you once again to all whom serve our great country. This includes the families as well.

God bless our soldiers and bring them home safe. My special prayers for the Angels who have the task of bringing our fallen soldiers home with so much love and dignity. They are al special soldiers. I am a proud mother of 6 children all served in the military. And a retired military wife. God bless and keep them all safe.

My Father (LCDR) who was planning to make the Navy a career and his Commanding Officer (CDR Shuff) were both lost at sea 52 year ago yesterday (Jan 7th) when CDR Shuff's A-4 jet experience in flight emergency. My Father guided him back to the USS Independence (CVA-62), however both jets disappeared. I retired from the Navy in 2008.

I am a Canadian vet, though in peace time but this video means so much to all of us. Just knowing we are remembered and respected for what we do, for what we have to give up and for the jobs we do keeps us going. Serving in the military, whether in peace or war, is a very hard job and takes very dedicated people, people who believe in what they are doing and sacrifice so much to get the job done. Do not forget us or disrespect us. We do a very difficult job and sometimes we give up our lives for this cause. We do this gladly for what we believe in.
