God apparently showed a special interest in a heathen king known for his military prowess and ruthlessness. He even called Nebuchadnezzar, 'my servant' (Jer 43:10) who was predestined to do God's will. This proud king had three encounters with God before he was humbled and realized that he must acknowledge who God is. His astounding testimony was recorded in Daniel 4.
