Crowd Steps Up When Music Stops During Cheerleading Competition
Check out this video where the crowd steps up to help a team when their music stops during a cheerleading competition.
After training for months, the Panthers cheer squad from Plano, Texas, were more than excited to put their cheer routine to the test at the All-Star national championships. But on the big day, during the middle of their routine, some technical difficulties happened. Their music stopped playing!
But the cheerleaders kept going, with the help of the audience! Without missing a beat, the 10,000 people in the crowd immediately started to count and clap to help keep the cheerleaders going. Typically, cheerleaders learn routines to an eight-count, which is what the audience was helping to count along with when the music stopped.
The Panthers cheer squad has 30 girls on it, with ages ranging from 14 to 19, and they shared a bit about how it felt on that day when the crowd helped them finish their routine.
“It just felt unreal,” one cheerlead said. “It was insane,” said another one.
“The crowd support was very helpful,” shared one girl. “They had our back, and they were counting the whole routine,” another cheerleader said.
Because of the support from the crowd and other cheerleaders in the arena, this cheerleading team was unshaken by their music stopping mid-routine. What a team effort! And many people online shared their thoughts on the event.
“That's what I call sportsmanship,” one person wrote on YouTube after watching the video.
“What an atmosphere of huge support. They all kept it going, cheerleaders and crowd. Talk about a wow moment. I was almost cheering myself,” another person commented online.
Way to go, Panthers! And what a beautiful reminder of how important it is to support those around you when they are in need.
Matthew 5:16
“In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

A Prayer for Transforming Worry into Trust - Your Daily Prayer - October 24
Worrying does nothing to benefit our lives in any way; it only takes away. It takes away the present moments and present joy you could experience, not to mention it takes away from a peaceful life.
