Stepdaughter Stuns Stepfather with Sweet Graduation Day Surprise

A young woman stunned her stepfather with arguably one of the sweetest surprises ever on her graduation day.

Fathers are essential people in everyone’s lives. They are gentle, kind and loving people who are often an excellent source of guidance and direction. They can offer wisdom and knowledge on handling situations and circumstances, likely because they’ve been in that same predicament before. The Lord knew what he was doing when he put fathers in our lives.

However, not everyone is blessed to have their biological father as part of their life. But a father figure can be any man who is kind, gentle, loving, and quick to offer protection and advice. Some people may see a stepfather, an uncle or even a coach as a father figure.

A clip posted on social media shows a young woman, Jordyn, who wanted to surprise her stepfather with a touching and moving request. Jordyn recently turned 18 and decided she wanted to drop the word “step” from her stepfather’s title.

The short, minute-and-a-half video begins with Jordyn sitting at a table and explaining the situation. While at the table, Jordyn holds the paperwork required to change her last name to her stepfather’s name legally.

Seconds later, Jordyn, wearing her graduation gown, is standing on what appears to be a football field with her family. The video picks up with Jordyn handing the paperwork, all tightly tied up, to her stepfather. He has no idea what is about to happen.

As quickly as he can, her stepfather unties the paperwork. He then starts scanning the documents in his hands. When he finally realizes what he’s holding and the significance of the paperwork, he looks up at Jordyn in utter shock.

The heartwarming video ends with Jordyn and her stepfather sharing a warm and loving embrace. Her stepfather appears to have even gotten teary-eyed, which is entirely understandable.
