Know your Purpose - Pursue it Diligently
Pt 2 of 2 - Calvin Bergsma, Pastor Georgetown Christian Fellowship
In (1 Cor. 9:24) The Apostle Paul describes how to live with purpose:
- He points to the goal (prize) and tells why it is one worth working toward.
- He gives us a clear view of what the stakes are in this game of life.
- How to win - why some loose.
Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize?
Run in such a way that you may win. (1 Cor. 9:24)
There is a goal in front of each believer worth striving for:
- Worth every sacrifice - worth focusing on
- Worth disciplining ourselves to achieve
- The prize is far greater than a round of applause
or trophy or the acclaim of men
- It does not fade with the arrival of the next superstar
in fact it never will pass away.
