This afternoon Nebraska became the first state to ban abortions based on the controversial notion that a fetus can feel pain at 20 weeks. The new ban is drawing national attention because many experts believe its legality will ultimately be decided by the U.S. Supreme Court – possibly changing abortion laws nationwide.
