Theme:Jesus raises the bar on what it means to be a good, godly person. He frequently takes what is already a hard-enough-to-achieve standard of righteousness and elevates it even higher. Here he says, “You have heard it said, but I say to you” and in that Jesus is telling us that what God is leading us to is something far greater than the where we are now
