I don't pride myself on being a songwriter or a singer. But here is my attempt. I only uploaded it because I wanted my friend in another state to hear it and this is the only way i knew to do it. But after i listened i realized it was difficult to understand the words. So here they are, you may need to read along.

I just got the call today that I always knew would come one day. To hear you say that you're leaving.
And you know how people always say that you will forget one day? Well, I don't really believe them.
Tell me can the heart forget what the term forever meant? What of all that was sacred?
I guess some things we'll never know, just gotta let go. I don't always understand.
