It's through His obedience, it's through His perfect work
we have been called by grace in serving Christ our Lord
we can't take any credit we've been born through His Word
it's not of him who wills or runs it's all God's mercy
He raised me from the dead and gave me eyes to see
just like I had nothing to do with my birthplace
been again only through grace
through His obedience I have been made righteous
through Him I have God's acceptance, to me He's been gracious
through His perfect work I have been justified
and God raised Him from the dead after He was crucified
through His obedience, He obtained redemption for me
He secured and made it certain, it's not some possibility
through His perfect work to God I have been reconciled
through Christ's work and not mine
He's presented me to God undefiled
why do we think we can please God in ourselves
we're always taken our righteousness down from the shelve
in our service to God we think we're obedient to His call
if we keep nine commands and break one we've broken them all
I could never keep His law perfectly, but my Savior did that for me
through His obedience I have been made righteous
through Him I have God's acceptance, to me He's been gracious
through His perfect work I have been justified
and God raised Him from the dead after He was crucified
through His obedience, God declared me righteous through faith
through Him I have God's acceptance
