From Hail to Locusts: Crisis That Built Faith

Mar 01 2026
What causes one person to grow stronger in faith while another becomes more resistant to God? In this episode, Sammy Tippit explores the deep contrast between Moses and Pharaoh. As the plagues of hail and locusts strike Egypt, Moses grows in confidence and obedience, while Pharaoh hardens his heart even more. Through their stories, we see how our choices shape our hearts, our character, and our future. God’s power, justice, and mercy are on full display—revealing that every moment of obedience builds strength, and every act of resistance deepens hardness.

Mini Goldendoodle Zoomies Along Plowed Path

Jan 30 2026
My husband had just finished snow plowing a path through our backyard, something we always do after big snowstorms so our dog can run outside. Once he was done, our mini Goldendoodle, Barkley, took off running down the path. When Barkley reached a turn, he suddenly slid off into the deep snow and briefly disappeared, then popped right back up and kept running like nothing happened. The whole moment was lighthearted and funny, and Barkley was completely fine. Credit: Sheila Dioda

Douglas McKelvey on Grieving With Hope After Dolly Parton’s Passing

Aug 26 2026
In the wake of Dolly Parton’s passing yesterday, 'Every Moment Holy' author Douglas Kaine McKelvey shares a powerful perspective on grief and hope. Pointing to the prayer song 'Pending Joy,' McKelvey explains that Christian hope does not erase sorrow — but it does change the way we experience it. Even in deep grief, believers can hold onto the promise that sorrow is not the final word and that restoration is still to come. The song is featured on the 'Anchoring the Heart in Hope' prayer song album out August 28.
