Sometimes the most heroic thing we can do for someone in distress is provide comfort. A photo of two firefighters, Sam Berry and Jared Davis, went viral for just this reason. In the picture, the firefighters comfort two young victims of a car crash. And their compassion for the terrified children certainly makes them true heroes! They walked away from the crash without injuries, but they were struggling to process the situation after the wreck. Overcome, the two huddled on the side of the road at the scene of the accident. The photo shows Sam cradling the little girl and Jared calming down the little boy who survived the crash. The picture was on the fire department’s Facebook page to praise the caring heroes for a job well done.
"Every guy on the job has probably done this, we just happened to get photographed", Jared says.These two young children were fortunate that Sam and Jared provided much needed emotional support! Sam actually worked for another precinct and was just filling in for a fellow firefighter that day. As a result, he was in the right place at the right time!
