Forgiveness cancels bad debt. The primary purpose of forgiveness in the New Testament is to "let it go". In business, most successful companies have other people or companies that owe them money, but no matter what they do, they can never get the money they think they deserve. Instead of spending the time and resources in trying to get what we think is owed to us by people, we should instead forgive.
