'Old Friends' Southern Gospel Performance From Old Friends Quartet

'Old Friends' Southern Gospel Performance From Old Friends Quartet

Listen to this southern gospel performance of the song ‘Old Friends’ by the Old Friends Quartet.

“Old friends, after all of these years, just old friends, through the laughter and tears
Old friends, what a fine, what a priceless treasure
Old friends, like a rare piece of gold, old friends, make it great to grow old
Old friends, through it all I will hold to old friends”

What a heartwarming song! And such a lovely performance that will bring a smile to your face. And it is great to hear the talented voices that make up the Old Friends Quartet. They all have such great, deep voices that blend so well together.

The Old Friends Quartet brought together gospel music legends Jake Hess and George Younce and included younger singers Ernie Haase and Wesley Pritchard. Jake sang lead, George sang bass, Ernie sang Tenor, and Wesley sang baritone. The group also had Garry Jones as their pianist who toured with them.

The Old Friends Quartet was together from 2000 to 2003. They released their first album titled Encore in 2000. And their second album, titled Feelin’ Fine, was released in 2003.

This song, ‘Old Friends,’ is a wonderful song from this group that reminds you of the importance of friendship and how wonderful it is to have old friends. These are the relationships that we can count on through the years and the ones that we should really cherish.

We hope that you enjoyed listening to this song today and it was able to bring you some encouragement.

Hebrews 10:24-25
And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
