1 Man Sings A Cappella 'The Savior With Me'

Check out this uplifting video where one man sings a beautiful a cappella rendition of the hymn ‘The Savior With Me.’

“I must have the Savior with me, for my faith at best is weak
He can whisper words of comfort, that no other voice can speak.
I must have the Savior with me, in the onward march of life,
Through the tempest and the sunshine, through the battle and the strife.”

This hymn was written by Frances J. Crosby and published in 1884. The subject of the song revolves around devotion and dependence on Jesus Christ our Savior. And along with the confession of weakness and human need in the hymn, there is also an expression of confident faith in the Lord.

Some of the related scripture references that you can find in this hymn are Exodus 33:14-15, Psalm 32:8, and Matthew 28:20.

The man who is singing ‘The Savior With Me’ in this video is Kaoma Chende. He does such a wonderful job signing all parts of the song a cappella, and it is beautiful to hear all of the parts blended together.

On his YouTube page, he shares his gratitude for his God-given talent. “I am so thankful for the gift of music! Not really sure how our world would be without it,” he shares. “And so, as you visit my channel, I hope you will find a song or two that will be a blessing to you. I have a lot of fun putting these videos together. Thankful I can share my love for music with everyone that comes across it. All praise belongs to the most high.”

What a blessing it is to worship God with songs that tell of our love and devotion to Him!
