'God Really Loves Us' Crowder Acoustic Performance

Listen to the acoustic performance of ‘God Really Loves Us’ by Crowder.

Crowder, also known as David Crowder, joined the Christian music scene 25 years ago. He actually started his music career in a Christian rock band called David Crowder band. The band formed because most students at his Christian university weren’t going to church services. So, he co-founded the University Baptist Church and was a pastor.

The group stayed together for over 15 years until David wanted to pursue a solo career in 2012. Since then, he has released four full-length albums. His most recent album, ‘Milk & Honey,’ came out earlier this month. The first single released for that album, ‘Good God Almighty,’ easily topped the Billboard Hot Christian Songs chart.

In ‘God Really Loves Us’, Crowder sings about God’s unconditional love for all of His children and how it’s greater than any earthly love we experience. He co-wrote the song in under two hours during the same week that they had to make finalized decisions for the album.

Davis said, “There hadn’t been a song that I’d been around in a while that has hit me like this one does.” And he’s right. There’s just something about it.

His mercy's enough
His grace is sufficient
So come if you're needing
Forgiveness or healing

These lines call others to God that are searching for answers, forgiveness, and purpose. The song also reminds His followers of his grace when it might be more difficult to see.

The simple white set behind the musicians draws your attention to the singers and their words. It was actually filmed in David’s home studio!

This is one of those worship songs that would be incredible to experience with a room full of people. The video also includes an in-depth background story of the song.

May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:18-19
