2 Women Perform Titanic's 'Hymn To The Sea' In Stairwell

Grab a tissue. Not because this video is sad but because it is so hauntingly beautiful, you may get teary-eyed.

Two women perform Titanic's ‘Hymn To the Sea’ in a stairwell of all places. One would expect this performance to be showcased in a music room or on stage but these two ladies discovered that an impromptu stairwell jam session is just as good as a recording studio, if not better.

Thanks to COVID, recording studios are closed and talented vocalists like these two, Lauren Paley and JADA are finding new and creative ways to share their gifts of singing with the world. But it gets even crazier, the song they chose to perform has no words.

Remember the iconic movie Titanic? Perhaps you remember the pivotal moment when the quartet performed this song as the Titanic went down. The song was written by James Horner for bagpipes and it later became an overnight sensation.

Lauren and JADA were able to mirror the sorrow and beauty of the song with their incredible voices! The concrete walls acted like a synthesizer and added so much depth to this hymn!

After the pair teamed, this sacred harmony went viral with more than 33,000 views and counting. But this isn’t the first time Lauren has sung in a stairwell. She does it so often, she updated her bio line on Tiktok stating, “I sing in stairwells,” and calls herself “The Stairwell Siren.”

Lauren’s first video received over three million views across her social media platforms. If this is what a stairwell siren sounds like, I’m in. Who else is looking forward to her next video?

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. Colossians 3:16
