Brooklyn Duo Performs Cover 'Shallow' from A Star is Born (Cello Piano) - Christian Music Videos

These two musicians of Brooklyn Duo are so incredibly talented! We are so moved by their melodic performance of “Shallow” from the recent movie “A Star Is Born”.

The husband and wife team, Marnie and Patrick Laird, have risen in internet fame for their stunning “classical crossovers”. Both are classically trained musicians and met while attending a Chamber Music Festival in 2006. Taking current popular music, the pair make gorgeous cover arrangements and then perform these stunning pieces on piano and cello. Hearing these well-known songs stripped of electronic fillers and performed in a pure, classical form is absolutely incredible and gives a greater appreciation to these recognizable tunes!

Right now the song “Shallow” is being covered by talented musicians everywhere. But this “classical” version truly pulls the beauty of the song and allows the listener to really appreciate the song without any additional instrumentation. It’s a perfect acoustic piece. Hearing the melody played so beautifully as it’s passed back and forth from the cello with vibrant swells to the gentle strokes of the keys is such a dynamic experience.
