Nathan Sheridan Sings 'Broken With You' On Nashville Today

In his debut album “Broken With You” singer/songwriter Nathan Sheridan offers music based on his own story of faith and overcoming difficult life circumstances.

Nathan was born to parents battling addiction, raised by his grandparents, and tragically lost his older sister to brain cancer leaving him as an only-child. His grandparents encouraged his faith walk and at age 14, he dedicated his life to Christ. It wasn’t long before Nathan took up guitar and soon was leading worship for youth camps and later while deployed in Kuwait with the Army National Guard.

“It was one of the first times I felt God was truly using me and that there was purpose in what I was going through. I saw so many soldiers come to Christ and lives changed through the services on our base-to be a part of that was amazing.” Nathan shared with Hallels.com.

When he returned to the States, a series of events led him to meet Jeremy Holderfield of Seventh Day Slumber. Jeremy was starting a new record label and asked Nathan to be his first artist on Burtonwood Records.

“I believe this was all a Divinely orchestrated process-God had these things planned out for me from the beginning. Music was never something I grew up with and it was never something I thought I would do. But here I am doing it and I really can't say that it's been by my own power.”

Now, Nathan is using his songwriting abilities to share his story of hope and overcoming adversity. After all of his personal struggles –the anger and bitterness that could have consumed him– Nathan has written a moving album of encouragement for others.

“God is still right there. He still has a plan for you regardless of your situation. We are not defined by our circumstances. Our identities are not made up of our mistakes and failures. They aren't made up of the things that other people have done to us that left us broken and hopeless. Our identity should be in Christ and Him alone...He never stopped loving you and He never will.

”We hope to see a lot more music from Nathan Sheridan in the future!
