Ice Skating Dog Is A True Sensation On The Ice - Cute Videos

6-Year-old Benny is pretty quick on his feet. This ice skating dog is taking on the pros with his knack for the rink. Owner Cheryl Del Sangro is a former ice skating coach and noticed that Benny had a real interest in the ice. So she did what any good owner would do - Cheryl made this talented pooch his own pair of specially designed ice skates!

But Benny’s start in life was a little rocky. He found himself sitting in a shelter hoping for someone to come and rescue him. Thank God Cheryl was in the right place at the right time!

“He had spent six months in a kill shelter in Utah and eventually was put on the euthanasia list. A local Las Vegas rescue had pulled him on his last day and transported him to Las Vegas but nobody had put in to adopt him,” Del Sangro told PEOPLE. “But as soon as I saw his eyes in the photo I knew he was meant for me. I filled out the forms, finally got to meet him and it was instant love.”

Cheryl realized early one that Benny had a special talent for learning tricks and was especially nimble. When he showed interest in the ice, she thought they might have something. With his new skates, the opportunities for this ice skating pooch are endless!
