Cats and dogs sometimes get a bad reputation of being enemies. But anyone who has owned or seen both animals interact together know that this is the farthest from the truth. God placed both of these creatures on this earth and they were beautifully and wonderfully made.

Cats and dogs each have special traits that make them the perfect companions for our family and they can truly bring so much joy to our lives. While these animals share a special relationship with us, they also share a very special relationship with each other.

Take this golden retriever and his feline friend. While on a recent walk, the cat spotted another cat across the street. During an intense stare down, it looked like a legit catfight was about to break out. But that’s when the dog sensed danger and immediately stepped in. He grabbed his cat and pulled them back to safety. If just a few more seconds had gone by, I know both of the cats would be in a battle with one another.

Thankfully, this dog was able to sense what was about to happen and decided to put an end to it right then and there. He saved his friend and, potentially, his friend’s life. This just goes to show that cats and dogs can be friends and they can even look out for one another.
