Teen Vocalist Sings 'Stand In The Light' In New York City

A talented teen vocalist sings ‘Stand in the Light’ in New York City, and there’s a reason his video is going viral.

The song was originally written and sung by the 9th season winner on The Voice, by Jordan Smith. He explained the deep meaning behind the song is about taking a risk to stand in the light of day and be truly seen for who we are. It’s so easy to wear masks, to cover up, to play the part, or pretend but we honor and glorify God when we choose to be who God created us to be. But someone else fell in love with the song too, teen vocalist, Lyza Bull.

This is who I am inside
This is who I am, I'm not going to hide
'Cause the greatest risk we'll ever take is by far
To stand in the light and be seen as we are

Is it any wonder that Lyza Bull is taking the world by storm with her own version of Jordan’s song? With over 122,000 subscribers, she is quickly rising through the ranks of fame with her talent and love for Jesus. However, this song is going viral with over 318,000 views and counting! This video opens with Lyza singing perfectly, “Stand in the light and be seen for who we are.” The video is shot all throughout New York City and encompasses with the lyrics and meaning of this beautiful song.

Lyza is a 13-year-old soprano and has even performed with the world renown One Voice Children’s Choir under the direction of Masa Fukuda. She has loved to sing since she could even talk. During the 2015 Christmas season, she was featured in Vocal Point’s “One Single Bell” video as a soloist, and in 2016, she participated in the TV special “Christmas Under the Stars.”

Go ahead, push play and be inspired to be who you are!

Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. 1 John 3:2
