'In Christ Alone' Celtic Worship Performs Classic Hymn

Celtic Worship is a Christian worship band with a sound located at the intersection of historical tradition and contemporary modern. Enjoy a calm and uplifting Scottish twist on the classic hymn, 'In Christ Alone' with this viral song.

Originally debuting in 2001, 'In Christ Alone', is a popular Christian hymn written by United Kingdom-based hymnists/musicians, Keith Getty and Stuart Townsend.

The song was the duo's first collaboration together but found prompt popularity originally in Ireland because of its strong Irish influence. International popularity soon followed for the song’s powerful sound and message.

The theme of the hymn is the story of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The hymn reminds us of the infinite love of God, and that Jesus was His son, who cannot be held by the grip of death.

When fears are stilled, when strivings cease
My Comforter, my All in All
Here in the love of Christ I stand.

Located in Scotland, Celtic Worship blends Traditional and Contemporary Christian Worship music with a powerful Celtic sound. The band is composed of many different Scottish musicians with diverse backgrounds and sounds, united by their Christian faith. Together they come together to sing their praises to the One most high.

In this performance, the vocals and acoustic guitar are done by Steph Macleod, the fiddle is played by Mhairi Marwick, Scott Wood played the bagpipes and recorded the audio, the electric guitar is performed by Chris Amer, Gus Stirrat played bass and recorded video, and percussion was performed by Neil Paton. Together, the groups' different sounds and roles came together in a special way to produce an incredible Scottish melody.
