'Amazing Grace' Hee Haw Gospel Quartet Worship Performance

'Amazing Grace' Hee Haw Gospel Quartet Worship Performance

Check out this great worship performance of the Hee Haw Gospel Quartet singing ‘Amazing Grace.’

“Amazing grace, how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now I'm found, was blind, but now I see
'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, and grace my Fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear, the hour I first believed”

The Hee Haw Gospel Quartet is composed of Buck Owens, Grandpa Jones, Roy Clark, and Kenny Price. And all four of them have such wonderful harmonies when they sing together. The beginning of this version of ‘Amazing Grace’ starts off with a hauntingly beautiful harmonica solo. It is just such an incredible performance from the whole group that is sure to bring a smile to your face!

Hee Haw was on the air for 23 years, and the most memorable and beloved segments of the show were the Gospel Quartet performances. Their performances closed out each show beginning in the late 1970s. The arrangements that the Hee Haw Gospel Quartet sang were simple, usually featuring Roy Clark on solo guitar, but the harmonies were often intricate.

Hee Haw was situated in fictional Kornfield Kounty, and the show featured the outstanding country music artists of its era. The music was always memorable on the show, and clips from Hee Haw have preserved some of the great country artists of the late mid-century.

We hope you enjoyed this special version of ‘Amazing Grace’ by the Hee Haw Gospel Quartet and it uplifted your spirits today!

Colossians 4:2-6
Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. At the same time, pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ, on account of which I am in prison— that I may make it clear, which is how I ought to speak. Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.
