800 Musicians Virtually Come Together To Sing 'Nearer, My God, To Thee'

Over 800 musicians come together for a virtual performance of ‘Nearer, My God, To Thee.’

The original Latin lyrics and arrangement are credited to James Stevens. And as you listen to these words, you will be reminded that no matter what trouble you face, God is always by our side.

“In articulo mortis (At the moment of death)
Caelitus mihi vires (My strength is from heaven)
Deo adjuvante non timendum (God helping, nothing should be feared)
In perpetuum (For ever)”

Vocal Point is a men’s choir known for their a cappella covers of beloved hymns and secular favorites such as ‘Be Thou My Vision’ and ‘The Climb.’ Today, they’ve gathered over 800 musicians from 55 different countries to perform the classic hymn ‘Nearer, My God, To Thee.’

With vocalists from Argentina, Sweden, Thailand and more, this a cappella performance is full of love and praise for our Lord.

“Still all my song shall be
Nearer, my God, to thee,
Nearer, my God, to thee,
Nearer to thee!"

We all walk through difficult times in our lives. But during these moments, it is so important to turn to God and let Him lead the way. Trust in Him with all your heart and you will find yourself nearer to God each and every day.

Jeremiah 23:23-24 ““Am I a God at hand, declares the LORD, and not a God far away? Can a man hide himself in secret places so that I cannot see him? declares the LORD. Do I not fill heaven and earth? declares the LORD.”
