Proverbs 31 Woman and Her Latchkey Kids
From time to time you hear modern Christians defending careerism for women by claiming that Proverbs 31 portrays a career woman, rather than a homemaker, so it must be alright for them to leave the home and have a career. This liberal excuse for abandoning biblical gender roles should be seen for the error that it is. Here I go through the major passage about the Proverbs 31 woman verse by verse, and show clearly that it presents a homemaker, which is well in line with the New Testament teachings that women should keep the home. Christians have badly crippled themselves by taking the woman away from her natural place; in the home and with her family.
