Nervous Singer Gets A Second Chance With 'My Girl' Audition
Today, she’s taking her musical dreams to the American Idol stage and hoping to make a splash in a big way. But, it seemed that nerves got the best of Kai when she started to sing ‘Thinking Out Loud’ by Ed Sheeran. After her first song, the judges asked if there was something else Kai could performed. She moved to the piano for her second chance and started to play the familiar tune of ‘My Girl.’
Right before our eyes, Kai came out of her shell and her beautiful voice was heard. All of the judges were so moved by the performance and judge Katy Perry even had to wipe away tears. But it was when Kai shared that her church sent her to the audition, that everyone let their emotions flow. Fellow judge Lionel Richie said it best when he said, “You are here for a reason and a purpose. God can only do for you what He can do through you.” I’m so glad that Kai was given a second chance and now she’s on her way to Hollywood to continue to this journey. We’re all rooting for you!
