Gospel Contestant Belts Out 'Amazing Grace' On The World's Best

Contestant Vonnie Lopez belts out the words to ‘Amazing Grace’ on The World’s Best. This CBS show is a brand new talent competition that features contestants from all over the world in every different genre. The acts audition for a panel of judges and a ‘wall’ of 50 experts in all areas of entertainment. If a contestant scores 75 or above, then they will move on to the next round.

After the initial audition, performers must battle each other for a spot in the finals. This one-of-a-kind show is bringing so much undiscovered talent to the stage.

Today, Vonnie Lopez is back for another stunning performance. For this former tone-deaf singer’s first song, she beautifully sang “My Tribute (To God Be The Glory).”

Now, she’s taking on a classic hymn as she confidently professes her love for Jesus with ‘Amazing Grace.’

“Amazing Grace, How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now am found
T'was blind but now I see
T'was Grace that taught my heart to fear
And Grace, my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed”

Her performance earned a standing ovation and judge Faith Hill even shed a few tears. “For all of us who grew up in the church, you are just allowing us to experience what it feels like to let yourself go and let the Spirit just take you.”

This worship-filled performance moved Vonnie on to the next stage of competition. Now, it’s down to the championship round and I cannot wait to hear what this gospel singer does next.
