MESSAGE NOTES
Matt. 15:29-39
1. Matthew tells two stories about Jesus feeding the multitudes, through the disciples, so as to highlight the need to serve others.
Mark 10:45
2. Jesus taught that this life is for serving others. Life in the age to come is for ruling.
Philippians 2:3-5
3. We can serve others only if we regard them as more important than we are.
1 Thessalonians 2:4
4. We can also serve others with the gospel message that God has entrusted us with.
Philippians 2:14-15
5. We can significantly serve others by refusing to grumble or dispute.
Mark 10:31

Applications:
1. The life and teachings of Jesus revealed that it is better to selflessly serve others than to be served.
2. We must maintain an attitude of humility and love if are to serve the way Christ displayed.
3. The biggest opportunity that we can serve others is to offer salvation through the gospel of the kingdom and the name of Jesus.
4. Grumbling and disputing are distractions from serving which we must repent of.
