The cross represents the death of Christ wherein he voluntarily
gave up his life and took it up again to break the bands of death
and provide a way for all men everywhere to be resurrected from
the dead and receive a physical body in the resurrection of the
dead.
What is the meaning of the circle in the Catholic Faith?
The Circle Symbol represents eternity as it has no beginning or
end. Because of this many early Christians believed that there
was something divine in circles. Early Astronomy and astrology
was connected to the divine for most medieval scholars,
the circular shape of the sun, moon and the planets were related to God's act of Creation.
