Experts say that only America can destroy Iran's nuclear program. According to The Jerusalem Post, the Center for Strategic and International Studies, a well-regarded Washington-based think tank, released a study saying that the United States is the only country that has the capability to carry out a successful, preventative military strike against Iran's nuclear program. The study went on to say that "Israel does not have the capability to carry out preventive strikes that could do more than delay Iran's efforts for a year or two" and that the regional security consequences will be "catastrophic."

A former Syrian army official says the regime 'will deploy chemical weapons as a last resort'. According to The Telegraph, the former head of Syria's chemical arsenal says that the Syrian regime plans to deploy chemical weapons against its own people "as a last resort." Major-General Ad-nan Sil-lu said he defected from the Syrian army three months ago after being part of top-level talks about the use of chemical weapons on both rebel fighters and civilians.
