A tribute to my grandfather Michael McFarlen. During World War II, he was in the naval reserves as a non-combatant transporter of troops, and during his aviation career he flew for Pan American Airlines based in Trinidad and Stockholm. He also flew for the Flying Tigers and Seaboard World Cargo Airlines. In his retirement years, he enjoyed ham radios. He was active in the Gideons International and was a member of the First Baptist Church in San Angelo for 35 years.
