Hindrances to Prayer, Part 33 (The Prayer Motivator Devotional #444)

SCRIPTURE: John 14:13-14, "And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it."

PERSONAL ENCOURAGEMENT: You should make it your business to pray in the evening to end your day well. Another critical time for prayer is in the evenings right before you get back together as a couple or family. Husbands, while you are driving home you need to be praying, “Lord, thank You for this good day. Lord, fill me now with Your Holy Spirit. Fill my wife with Your Holy Spirit. And Lord, we pray that You will rebuke and bind Satan the devil from our home. Surround us with a band of Your holy angels. Now, Lord, help us to have a good and sweet evening together as a family. Bless my children, help them to be cooperative and obedient.” Husbands, you need to do that. And wives, while he is doing that on the way home, you need to be praying along the same lines. Try it before you think I am crazy. I guarantee you, you will have a different atmosphere in your home.
