Small businesses lift millions of vulnerable people out of poverty, provide a safety net in tough economic times, and are the lynchpin of many poor countries' economies. In Colombia, CAFOD partner Pastoral Social is helping people change their lives by working for themselves.
Amparo's family was forced to leave her home by guerrilla soldiers in 2005. Now she supports herself and her family with money from Hay Paz, the furniture-making business she set up with help from Pastoral Social.
