Our understanding of God's love would completely change if their were no Hell. This is because:
1. Sin (and the pain we experience because of it) would have no final resolution.
2. God will not force himself on anyone. Those who wish to escape from his advances must have a place to go.
3. If there is no Hell my understanding of myself and of Christ and his sacrifice is completely redefined. No longer has my sin doomed me to an eternal existence in Hell.
