The Great Banquet
This parable, found in Luke 14:16 - 24 tells of a great and generous Master who prepared a sumptuous feast for his friends. The Master sent his loyal servant out to invite his friends. However, his ungrateful friends were so busy with their everyday cares and interests that they rejected the Master's invitation. The Master then instructed the servant to go out and invite common, everyday people; but still there was room. Then the Master invited those on the roads and country lanes, so that His house might be full. Was Jesus trying to tell us what Heaven would be like? Tell us what you think!
