When there is no hope to be found,

Turn to Jesus, He will be there for you,

When darkness surrounds you,

And the chains bind you,

Just call out to him and he’ll be there,

He’s always been there, and He knows the pain,

He knows the pain because he’s been there before,

And he is with you on your journey called life,

He is walking by your side,

Through this darkness through this storm of life,

He will not let you go for he loves you way too much.



He will not forget you his child,

He will not forget your pain,

He will not forget that you are weak and weary,

He will not forget who you are,

He notices you when no one else does,

He hears your cries when you are all alone,

He knows your sighs when you are hiding your pain,

Surely I say to you the Lord will not forget his child,

He has your name written on his hand,

You belong to him, you are his,

And nothing can ever change that.



When the struggles are to big,

And the waves are too high,

Just call his name and he will be there,

When the pain cuts too deep,

And there appears to be no way out,

Whisper his name and he’ll come running to you,

Tell him that you can’t take anymore,

And he’ll reach out his hand,

He is waiting for you to grab his hand,

He is willing to help but you’ve gotta reach out for him first.



You’ve gotta call his name,

You’ve gotta reach for him,

He knows your needs,

But he’s waiting for you to come to him

He is a loving God that will not force you,

But instead he will wait patiently for you to call on him,

He wants you to tell him how your day was,

He waits to hear from you everyday,
