Abraham, obeyed the Lord and took Issac His Son,

He held the knife and raised it high, and it was almost done;

The Angel cried, a Lamb would die, Himself he would provide;

To end all sin and hope restore, the Father’s Son would die.



O praise the Lamb of God, worship the Holy One;

The Glorious Sacrifice now crowned with diadems.

The Father’s pure delight, His own beloved Son;

For us He came to die, the great I am.



You called us in Your love divine, it was the only way;

You loved us so, and all You planned would come to pass one day.

Your Son you gave, Your only love, You crushed Him to the ground;

Our sins He took, You couldn’t look, but grieving turned around.

The price was paid atonement made for all our sin and guilt,

The wrath of God was satisfied, as Jesus blood was spilt;

What grace bestowed, for what was owed, deserving only hell,

What can I give, my life to live, the grace of God to tell.
