Moving ‘Heaven, How I Got Here’ Tells of God’s Powerful, Lifesaving Grace
The moving new film “Heaven, How I Got Here” tells of God’s powerful, lifesaving grace. Even in His last moments on Earth, after being tortured and hung to die, Jesus Christ was still saving and transforming lives. Watch the short but powerful trailer to get a look at the film “Heaven, How I Got Here.”
Without Christ, all of humanity would be lost, destined to be forever and always separated from Him. We would be condemned, destined to live out our days on Earth in our sin and shame, left with no hope and without a future. It’s only because of His love, mercy and grace that any of us have the opportunity at eternal life. It’s something that can never be earned, but instead, it’s a gift that is available for all who call upon His name and confess their sins.
Because of what Christ willingly went through at the cross, dying and shedding His blood, eternal life is possible. He took our place on that tree, being the sacrifice through which all sin can be washed away and forgiven.
“Heaven, How I Got Here,” a film starring Stephen Baldwin, tells the story of one of the two criminals who was crucified with Christ. Of course, one spoke out against Christ’s execution, saying that He had done nothing wrong to deserve such treatment. This criminal also asked Jesus to remember Him when He got to heaven. Christ responded by telling him that today he would be with Him in paradise.
Even in humanity’s darkest hour, when Christ was moments away from surrendering His life for the sins of all people, He was still saving and transforming lives. As the film’s website states, “this man had no works to offer and yet His salvation was only by the grace of God.” It’s through that very same grace that any of us are forgiven.

Ephesians 2:8 “Because by grace you have salvation through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is given by God;”
