Anjelah Johnson-Reyes Recalls Flying on a Small Plane

Anjelah Johnson-Reyes recalled flying on a small plane. The popular comedian remembered her time when she flew on a tiny aircraft, and it’s clear, from her comments, that it’s something she’ll never do again. Watch the short but hysterical clip to hear her look back on the time when her plane was much smaller than normal.

Flying is a fear for many people. Whether it’s the heights or that they believe they will crash into a mountain or the engine will stop operating mid-flight, flying causes many people a fair amount of anxiety. It’s a completely understandable fear. You're moving hundreds of miles per hour thousands of feet in the sky; if anything were to go wrong with the aircraft, odds are you’re not going to make it. Feel better about flying now?

Anyway, most people who fly do so on those massive planes out of those large airports located in metropolitan areas across the country. That is typically the way it goes, but less populated areas do have airports as well. However, they usually cannot accommodate a 747, a 757 or something like that. Instead, it’s usually the much smaller planes that are all they can handle.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Anjelah was headed to a smaller town, so she had to take a much smaller plane than she was used to. Let’s say her fear of flying started making its way to the surface, and it’s not a situation that she will probably be repeating anytime in the near future.

“It just had two propellers out front,” she said. “As you step onto the plane, you got to take turns spinning the propeller. I took my seat assignment. It said, ‘shotgun.’”

Later in the clip, Anjelah mentioned how an announcement made on the flight did not make her feel any better.

“But on this plane, we got a different announcement,” she said. “It sounded more like, ‘Stephanie, we’re coming in.’ Stephanie? What’s this, a family-owned plane?”

Proverbs 17:22 “A glad heart makes a healthy body, but a crushed spirit makes the bones dry.”
