This Comedian’s Story About a Confused Doctor is Pure Gold

This comedian’s story about a confused doctor is pure gold. The physician had no idea what the funnyman was talking about, and it’s hilarious. Watch the short, but hysterical, clip to hear what happened when the doctor clearly didn't understand the joke.

Where would we be without doctors and the many other men and women who work in the medical field? That’s an extremely frightening scenario to consider. Of course, we’d be much worse off, and no doubt, have much shorter lifespans. Doctors are blessed with skills and knowledge that improve and extend their patients’ lives.

However, as great as we can all agree doctors are, they, likely everyone else, have things they could improve upon. It’s often said that doctors are aloof and struggle to connect with their patients. While this can and does help them remain objective and provide the best possible medical care, sometimes a patient needs someone to reassure them and explain hard-to-understand medical concepts and procedures in layperson’s terms. Also, don’t be so blunt and straightforward all the time.

In a clip posted on YouTube, comedian Michael McIntyre recounted his hysterical interaction with a doctor who is obviously not the warm-and-fuzzy type.

The hilarious video begins with Michael mentioning that he had recently suffered several injuries – one to his shoulder and his knee. To repair his shoulder, Michael visited a doctor who fixed him up and made him as good as new.

For his knee issue, he entered the hospital, and to his surprise, he spotted the same doctor who had handled his shoulder. After his momentary shock at seeing the same doctor, the interaction between the doctor and Michael was hilarious. Michael, being a comedian, made a joke, and astonishingly, the doctor did not get it.

Instead, the doctor, according to Michael’s retelling, quickly became frustrated and annoyed. Sometimes, it helps to be able to take a joke.

Job 8:21 “The time will come when your mouth will be full of laughing, and cries of joy will come from your lips.”
