The Carol Burnett Show is a beloved program. It featured a legendary all-star cast of some of the biggest names in comedy history in truly zany, off-the-wall skits. The show produced dozens of classics, with clips of those hysterical skits that still cause many to literally laugh out loud.

However, as much as the show was known for its beloved, incredibly talented cast and sketches, many would argue that the best part of the show was witnessing the actors break character and start laughing mid-skit. Of course, Harvey Korman was the usual suspect, often unable to keep it together because of something Tim Conway did or said. But everyone else had their fair share of crackups, including Carol herself.

A clip posted on YouTube starts with Carol explaining the setup of a particular skit and how several unexpected events led her to burst out laughing. Instead of Harvey breaking, who also appears in the sketch as a reporter attempting to interview Carol, it was she who could not contain her laughter.

The skit itself is ridiculous already. Carol plays this supposed legendary escape artist who gets tangled up in a jacket and a microphone wire and is outmaneuvered by a shoestring. She struggles endlessly to get out of these situations, and then somehow she’s going to perform this death-defying trick successfully? 

That setup would have been funny enough, but Carol’s incessant laughter sends this one over the top, making it an absolute classic and a must-watch.

It's safe to say that there will never be a show like The Carol Burnett Show.
