Americans love themselves some sports, and really, all things competition. Honestly, if there’s an activity that could in any way be configured so two or more teams compete against one another, it will happen. Now, if there is anything Americans love more than sports, it’s eating. I mean, have you seen the size of the average American lately? Given how much people love competition and chowing down on a delicious, mouth-watering plate of food, it only makes sense to combine them. Now, I’m not talking about professional eating, that already exists, but this is something else entirely, and Greg hilariously explained in a clip posted on social media.

“The state of Texas has high school barbecue,” he said. “I know. They do. There’s teams, like, high school teams that barbecue against each other. And I’m going to tell you right now, I would have played that sport.”

Later in the clip, Greg states how far he would have gone to be on his high school barbecue team if it had existed back in his day.

“I would have quit wrestling so fast to go out for barbecue,” he said. “I love, I would have done what, like, ‘Coach, I just want to be on this team. I’ll do what it takes. I’ll start on chicken or turkey. I don’t have to do the big stuff now. Put me on sides. Put me on sides, coach.’”
