A child and a dog battle one another for attention, and it’s hilarious. The two go back and forth in this fierce competition, in which neither clearly wants to give an inch or back down. Watch this short but hysterical clip to see and hear how these two fight for attention.

Becoming a parent is a huge, massive and life-changing event. Nothing will ever be the same after welcoming a little one into your life and home. Yes, there will be some big adjustments that will need to be made, but it is one of, if not the biggest, blessings anyone can experience in this life.

While all children are an absolute blessing, being a parent comes with a whole host of responsibilities and obligations. Parents are charged with providing for that little one, taking care of and attending to their needs, whatever they might be. As every parent knows, children require a lot of attention. Turn your head or leave them unattended for even a moment, and it’s hard to tell what kind of trouble they could get themselves into.

One clip perfectly and hilariously captures the massive amount of attention children demand from their parents, and how they want their needs and desires fulfilled in a timely fashion. If they are not met quickly and to the little one’s liking, the parents and everyone around them will suffer the consequences. Sadly, the repercussions for not doing so fast enough will be loud for the parents and everyone else in the vicinity.

A child standing in a playpen begins yelling, obviously hoping to get someone’s attention. But the youngster is not the only one who would appreciate some immediate attention. A canine resting comfortably follows the child’s lead and joins in, screeching as well. The two go back and forth, creating a hysterical chorus of screams.

In the end, while it’s not depicted in the video, I’m guessing the child received attention first, and the dog came in a distant second place.
