Mike Goodwin Gets Brutally Honest About His Son’s Athletic Ability
Mike Goodwin got brutally honest about his son’s athletic ability. The popular funnyman hilariously explained how he viewed his son’s athletic ability, or more accurately, the lack thereof. Watch the short, but hysterical, clip to hear Mike discuss his son playing sports and the unusual way he watches his games.
Most children, while growing up, get involved in organized sports. For many, their parents put them in things such as t-ball and soccer leagues even before they start school. As every parent knows, those games are completely unwatchable. Typically, they are nothing more than little ones with next to no idea what they are doing, running around for an hour or so.
Even at that point, when those children are young, it’s easy to point out who has natural athletic ability and who does not. If your child is not one of those natural athletes, you typically don’t point it out; instead, you keep signing them up for games and taking them back and forth to practices and games, especially if they enjoy playing.
But, at some point, you understand that their playing days will end. In a hilarious clip posted on YouTube, Mike can already see the end of the road for his son when it comes to sports. He predicts that his son’s time playing sports will end sooner rather than later.
“My son is at the point in his athletic career, it’s ending,” he said. “It’s over. It’s over because, because he’s at the point where if we can’t pay for him to be on the team, he can’t be on the team. If he got to make the team, he won’t make the team.”
Later in the clip, Mike mentioned that watching his son’s games is a painful experience, and he even has a specific position he uses to watch them.
“They won the other night,” he said. “The score was 14 to 17. They played for 28 minutes. It’s bad. It’s bad, man.”
2 Timothy 2:5 “And if a man takes part in a competition, he does not get the crown if he has not kept the rules.”
