This dad recalled his little one’s hysterical and distressing confession. He could not believe what he heard come out of her mouth. It’s the kind of statement that would make you stop, check your ears and ask her to repeat it. Children are an absolute gift from the good Lord, and those youngsters should be treated as such. Every parent would completely and wholeheartedly agree with that conclusion. Children are one of the many ways in which He blesses and enriches our lives.

Most moms and dads would also likely say they are routinely shocked and thrown for a loop by what their children say. Children are incredibly honest, constantly saying whatever pops into their minds. Additionally, small children are still learning and can often say things that they don’t necessarily mean. As every parent knows, this can lead to some strange conversations, which very frequently force parents to play detective as they try to decipher what their little one is trying to express.

In a hysterical clip posted on YouTube, a father recounted a conversation with his 3-year-old daughter in which she said something extremely shocking. She made a confession that had the father wondering about their elderly cat’s whereabouts and momentarily fearing for the animal’s safety.

“I put the cat in the oven,” the child told her father, which is a sentence you never want to hear your toddler say.

Like any father would after hearing something like that, the father knew he immediately needed to verify her statement to see if the family’s cat had actually been placed in the oven. As it turned out, the child was not totally incorrect.

What the father discovered was that a stuffed animal, a cat, had been put in a miniature toy oven. The family’s cat was found safe and unharmed.
