This woman shared what happens and what is said when Southerners discuss fishing. Her sharp, quick-witted and likely relatable comments will, without a doubt, have you laughing hysterically long after the video ends. Watch the short but hilarious clip to learn what can happen when Southerners go and even discuss fishing.

Having pastimes or hobbies is necessary. Life can get stressful, and those concerns and stressors can weigh heavily, even making it feel as if the weight of the world is resting on the shoulders. That’s when those activities can and do come in handy. They help get our minds off our present circumstances and struggles, and if it’s only for a few moments, that can do wonders for our physical and emotional well-being.

Now, when it comes to selecting a pastime or a hobby, there are many different options. Many people prefer going out on the links for a round of golf, reading a good book or even knitting. Of course, those are only a sampling of the hobbies in which people choose to participate. Still, others might enjoy the peace and quiet that comes with sitting on the dock, their rod resting in the lake, as they silently wait for a fish to come along and take the bait.

In a clip posted on YouTube, a woman hilariously shares what is often said when people who call the South home go and discuss fishing. Moments in the clip, and you will find yourself literally laughing out loud.

“Ole Billy Bob found my fishing hole, and now I got to find a new best friend,” she said.

“If the fish ain’t biting, you blame the weather,” she added.

“Oh, his boat costs more than his house, and he’s still catching fish the size of a chicken nugget,” the woman stated.

“Give a man a fish, and he’ll eat for a day,” she said. “Teach a man to fish, and he’ll buy a boat he can’t afford.”

Matthew 4:19 “And he said to them, ‘Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
