One cat heard its owner’s voice through the camera and had the funniest reaction. The feline heard a voice it recognized, but couldn’t quite figure out from where the sound was coming at first. Watch the short and hilarious clip to see the animal’s hysterical reaction to the familiar sound.

Animals are, without a doubt, some of the best creatures on Earth. They are unbelievably kind, love unconditionally and most are loyal to a fault. Those cute, furry and cuddly critters make life a better, fuller and more enriching experience. Things are better when animals are around, for sure.

As every pet owner – past and present – understands, animals are great companions, making for some of the best and closest friendships you’ll ever have on this side of heaven. In addition to their friendships, our pets can provide some pretty good entertainment, usually good for a huge, hearty belly laugh or two every so often.  A clip posted on social media proves this to be the case.

In the video, a cat is captured doing one of the things they do best: eating. While the feline is minding its own business, quenching its thirst before it almost assuredly heads back for another one of its many naps for the day, something unexpected happens, catching the thirsty cat entirely by surprise.

The cat’s owner begins speaking through the camera. Of course, the cat is bewildered and befuddled. It wants to know the source of the voice, and it immediately starts looking frantically about, hoping to find the person to match the voice.

Soon enough, the sweet feline seems to have located where the voice is coming from and begins looking closely into the camera. But it still must be wondering if its owner is now a camera or is somehow trapped inside that device.

What a hilarious and sweet moment that shows how animals learn to recognize us not just by sight and smell, but also by the sound of our voice.
