It’s been said that honesty is the best policy, and of course, that is true. No one wants someone to be around anyone they cannot trust to tell them the truth. Being a liar is one of the worst things that anyone can be. Once that becomes a part of someone’s reputation, it is nearly impossible to shake.

However, the honesty that everyone values and desires must be paired with kindness and consideration for others’ feelings. Children are arguably the most honest group you’ll ever meet. They will tell you what they think regardless of how it may sound and who it may hurt. No one ever wants to be on the receiving end of that kind of brutal honesty. That’s when choosing the correct words and tone is crucial, paramount.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Carol and Harvey are husband and wife, who are incredibly honest with one another. But one could argue they are a little too honest, even to the point where they start saying exactly what pops into their head to one another.

The skit begins with Carol staring at herself in the mirror. It’s clear from the depressed look on her face that she is not thrilled with what she’s seeing. She makes her thoughts about her face completely clear to Harvey, and, hilariously, things just go from bad to worse.

Soon enough, they are both lashing out at one another, criticizing each other for things that are beyond their control.
