Listen to Phil Wickham sing his wonderful new song called ‘Fear Has No Power’ in this lyric video! The track builds on themes of resilience and faith, reminding us that no matter what fear we face, it has no power in Jesus’ name. May you be encouraged by this song today!
“You were with us in the fire and we were not burned in the flames
We were not burned in the flames, You were in that den of lions
And we were unharmed and unscathed, so why would we ever be afraid
Cause we know who You are, we know who You are”
Phil Wickham wasn’t planning on releasing this single at this time, but the singer shared that he couldn’t help but share it with the world. “I wasn’t planning on releasing another song this year, but this one just came pouring out and I had to share it,” he said.
Phil Wickham also shared about the heart behind ‘Fear Has No Power’ and how the song came to be. “Life has felt heavy. From the chaos, wars, and violence we see in the world to the personal pain of losing a childhood friend just days ago, it’s been a lot. And I know I’m not alone in feeling that way,” he shared. “In the middle of it all, there’s been this song I haven’t been able to stop singing. I wasn’t planning on releasing it, but it’s been carrying me. It’s reminded my heart of what’s true. I stand on a rock that cannot be shaken. The victory has already been won.
The same God who stood with Daniel in the lions’ den, who walked with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego through the fire, stands with us now. This song is for anyone who needs to be reminded that in Jesus, we are more than conquerors. Do not be afraid. Fear has no power.”
What a fantastic reminder to praise through our fears. We hope you enjoyed listening to ‘Fear Has No Power’ by Phil Wickham today.
